110,000 visitors, over 20,000 musicians taking part in the traditional mass performance, and more than 150 bands on nine stages: this year, the ‘Woodstock of brass band music’ has once again impressively demonstrated the power that music and a sense of community can unleash. For four days, the Innviertel became a meeting place for people of all generations and a stage for brass band music.

A festival of this scale is also a major economic driver for the region. Hotels and private accommodation are fully booked, whilst restaurants, local shops and numerous regional service providers benefit from the high number of visitors. Many contracts are awarded to local businesses – from technology and logistics to the skilled trades and food producers. The added value thus remains almost entirely within the region, securing incomes and jobs well beyond the festival dates.

But the benefits do not end with the economic boost. The ‘Woodstock of brass music’ raises the profile of the Innviertel far beyond the region’s borders and strengthens the region’s image as an attractive place to live, work and spend one’s leisure time.

Working together for a strong region

As a long-standing partner, Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ supports the ‘Woodstock of Brass Music’ and helps to make possible an event that showcases the region’s strengths. The festival impressively demonstrates what can be achieved when business, volunteering and culture pull together: regional businesses benefit from additional orders, clubs generate vital income for their work, and numerous volunteers contribute their time and dedication.

At the same time, Woodstock fosters connections and promotes social cohesion. Brass band music thrives on the commitment of countless volunteers who invest their time, passion and skills in music societies. The festival provides them with a stage, inspires young people to get involved in club life and thereby strengthens the very structures that underpin community life in the local areas. It demonstrates how culture fosters a sense of identity, bridges the generations and keeps a region vibrant and sustainable.

Who makes it possible

Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ sees itself as part of this community. Supporting the ‘Woodstock of Brass Band Music’ is an expression of our commitment: to take responsibility where regional value is created, volunteering is encouraged and people come together. After all, strong regions are built not only on economic success, but also on solidarity, a sense of belonging and shared experiences. We think that’s #absolutelybrilliant.
