Without craftsmanship, there is no culture
They build stages up and take them down again, haul equipment cases, assemble trusses, manage lighting, sound and technical equipment, and ensure that an empty hall is transformed into a fully functional event venue in no time at all. Stagehands and event technicians are the often unseen force behind concerts, theatre performances and shows.
Their work is physical, demanding and requires not only experience but, above all, reliability. And it shows that culture is not just about creativity, but always involves craftsmanship too.
It is precisely here at the Posthof in Linz that two worlds – which at first glance appear different – will come together in future. And on closer inspection, they actually have a surprising amount in common.
Blue-collar culture meets pop culture
With its new 2026 partnership, the Posthof Linz is bringing together ‘Blue Collar Culture’ and pop culture in collaboration with Blåkläder Workwear.
The Swedish company, whose Austrian headquarters are in Ottensheim, specialises in workwear designed for demanding tasks. Trousers, jackets, shirts, overalls, gloves and safety footwear are designed to combine functionality, comfort and style. These are qualities that are in demand not only on building sites and in workshops, but also wherever there’s hard work going on behind the scenes.
“At the Posthof, craftsmanship, creativity and hard work come together – that’s exactly where we feel at home with Blåkläder. This regional collaboration is a great opportunity for us to showcase quality whilst supporting culture,” says Helmuth Wiesinger, Managing Director of Blåkläder Workwear GmbH.
Sustainability starts with a long service life
Blåkläder explicitly links quality with sustainability. A key principle of the company is to design workwear to be as durable as possible. After all, the longer a garment can be used, the less often it needs to be replaced. Blåkläder therefore offers, amongst other things, a lifetime guarantee on seams and supports repairs to extend the products’ service life.
In production, too, the company prioritises transparency, social standards and reduced resource consumption. This includes certified production facilities as well as investments in solar energy, energy-efficient buildings and water-saving measures.
#It’s brilliant that this partnership also shines a spotlight on those without whom the culture simply wouldn’t function.
