Valuable support for the whole family
A cancer diagnosis in a child changes the lives of the whole family. Hospital stays and treatments suddenly dominate daily life; parents have to reorganise childcare and work commitments, and alongside the emotional challenges, additional financial burdens may arise.
During this difficult time, OÖ. Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe serves as a vital point of contact. It supports families with a child diagnosed with cancer, offering advice and financial assistance. In doing so, the charity provides relief and gives families the support they need when it matters most.
This work also has great social significance. It embodies solidarity and the principle of not leaving people to face challenging life situations alone. As the Upper Austrian Children’s Cancer Charity is funded entirely by donations, it is itself reliant on support.
Sharing responsibility
Companies that combine economic success with social responsibility therefore play an important role. Not only can they provide financial resources, but through their reach they can also mobilise many people in support of social causes. Raiffeisen relies on the power of the community and combines regional commitment with practical support.
The collaboration between Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ and the ‘Woodstock of Brass Music’ demonstrates how this can translate into practical help. This major brass music festival brings together tens of thousands of music enthusiasts every year and stands not only for musical diversity, but also for community and solidarity.
A passion for music turns into tangible support
As part of a joint initiative, 3,000 day tickets for the festival were sold to Raiffeisen customers at a special price of ten euros. The proceeds of 30,000 euros will go entirely to the Upper Austrian Children’s Cancer Charity.
In early September, RLB OÖ Chief Executive Reinhard Schwendtbauer and Woodstock founder Simon Ertl presented the donation cheque to Karin Schuster-Schlichtner of the Upper Austrian Children’s Cancer Charity.
“As a strong community, we bear a responsibility, which is why social commitment is so important to us,” emphasises Schwendtbauer. Ertl also highlights the unifying spirit behind the campaign: “The Woodstock of Brass Music stands for community and solidarity.”
#absolutelybrilliant when a shared idea turns into valuable support for children and their families during difficult times.
