Every summer, magnificent abbeys such as Kremsmünster, St. Florian and Lambach are transformed into resounding stages - offering musical enjoyment at the highest level. Musical excellence meets spiritual architecture - a combination that is unique in its atmosphere and intensity.
The basic idea of the Stiftskonzerte has remained tangible to this day: To present music in a dignified, inspiring setting - not as an elitist enjoyment of art, but as an invitation to all. Whether you are a lover of baroque music or a curious first-time visitor, the varied programme inspires people from far beyond the country's borders.
A summer full of highlights
In 2025, the concert series will once again offer impressive experiences for the ear and heart. The musical programme ranges from delicate chamber music to opulent orchestral sounds and vocal highlights. One of the highlights of the coming year is the concert by the renowned Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, which will be performing in the Kaisersaal at Kremsmünster Abbey on 20 July. Under the direction of the exceptional Australian pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout, the programme includes works by Mozart and Bach - interpreted with historical fidelity and passionate musicality.
Strong partners for strong culture
Cultural quality at this level requires not only artistic ability and organisational commitment, but also reliable partners from the business world. Without sponsors and supporters, an event like the Upper Austrian Stiftskonzerte would not be possible in this form. One of these important cultural sponsors is OÖ Versicherung.
"Music connects people"
"Music connects people. It is the language that everyone understands, it enriches our lives.
The Upper Austrian Abbey Concerts are once again offering a varied programme of music in many facets this year - and we are happy to support this",
emphasises Otmar Nagl, CEO of Oberösterreichische Versicherung.
