Austrian SDG Award: Sustainability in the focus of Austrian business

Every year, the Austrian SDG Award recognises companies, initiatives and communities that are particularly committed to implementing the United Nations' global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiator of this important award is the Alliance for Ethics in Business, which is committed to responsible behaviour in all economic sectors as part of the Austrian Senate for Business. The jury is made up of renowned members of this alliance who have made a name for themselves through sustainable business practices and their commitment to the SDGs.

The nominees for the Austrian SDG Award 2024

Over 300 submissions were received for the Austrian SDG Award 2024, from which 74 projects were nominated as finalists. They are divided into the following categories

  • Media & journalism.

In the "Company - Small" category, the renowned workwear manufacturer Blåkläder Workwear GmbH, a partner of #schongenial - the world's first initiative for cross-company social responsibility, was nominated.
