From overwhelm to relief
Two years ago, Ivana reached a critical point where she no longer knew how to cope with everything. So she finally turned to Caritas Mobile Family Services. Since then, Christine Kitzmüller has become an integral part of the Kasiks' lives as an additional "right hand". Ivana describes her as a "full treasure chest" that opens up with every assignment and not only takes care of the children, but also the household.
Family helper or superhero?
The Kasiks particularly appreciate the fact that Christine recognises each of their five children, aged 3, 4, 6, 7 and 13, as an independent personality and responds to their individual needs.
"Christine puts her heart and soul into her work. I can't emphasise enough how grateful I am that I can get some sleep after a twelve-hour night shift, for example, thanks to Christine. You don't actually have to say anything, she sees what needs to be done and that's incredibly reassuring."
says Ivana Kasic.
Christine Kitzmüller - an inspiration
In addition to looking after the children, Christine also does the cooking, often together with the children, as there is no afternoon care at the kindergarten. She also helps the older children with their homework. It is this variety of tasks that Christine appreciates so much about her job as a family helper. Although she is a late bloomer and only started working for Caritas at the age of 45, she has found her dream job. Her previous experience as a nursery assistant and her love of working with families prepared her perfectly for this role.
