With an exclusive wine evening at the VERDI Restaurant in Linz, the Hochreiter Group sent a clear signal regarding the future of the Anton Bauer Winery. Following the takeover of the historic Wagram-based estate last year, the winery’s new direction was now the focus of a major public event for the first time. Representatives from the worlds of business, gastronomy, the arts and the media were invited to celebrate the winery’s fresh start together and, at the same time, to get a glimpse of the brand’s future development.

A fresh start with a distinctive style

The takeover of the Anton Bauer winery by the Hochreiter Group marks far more than a change of ownership. The aim is a sustainable repositioning of the renowned estate, which has been known for years for its high-quality wines from the Wagram region. Under the leadership of Wolfgang Hochreiter and Peter Weidinger, managing director of the Hochreiter Food Group and the Anton Bauer Winery, the traditional brand is set to establish itself even more strongly in future as a premium winery with its own distinct profile.

At the exclusive wine evening, the team presented the entire collection and provided insights into the style, origin and philosophy of the wines. It became clear that the aim is to preserve the winery’s roots whilst simultaneously introducing new creative elements. It was precisely this combination of tradition and innovation that was at the heart of the evening.

Wine meets art

Particular attention was paid to the presentation of the new “Anton Bauer Rosé Collection d’Art”. The rosé is not merely a wine, but a total work of art. This is thanks to the extraordinary label by artist Beni Altmüller, which gives every bottle a striking visual identity.

The project was initiated and overseen by Walter Freller, who coordinated the collaboration between the artist and the Hochreiter Group. The result is a product that combines pleasure, design and art, whilst symbolising the winery’s new direction: high-quality, modern and emotionally presented.

With this event, the Hochreiter Group demonstrated in a #schongenial way the direction in which the Anton Bauer Winery is heading: preserving tradition, further developing quality and, at the same time, embracing new creative impulses.
