The Penthesilea Academy offers just that: a holistic platform to support young musicians on their path to artistic maturity - both artistically and personally.
A central component of the academy is the intensive examination of audition preparation, a key moment in the lives of musicians. In addition to working with experienced coaches and conductors on site, the Academy offers workshops, individual lessons, ensemble work and valuable input on mental and physical health in the music profession.
Digitally networked - globally connected
One particular highlight is the online platform that has now been developed in-house. It complements the Academy's face-to-face programme and opens up a digital space for music students from all over the world to exchange ideas. From Japan to the USA, from Yemen to Europe: this is where knowledge is shared, mutual support is provided and feedback on musical topics is given - for example through video courses, live meetings or personal support from experienced musicians.
The platform does not replace real auditions - but it prepares participants specifically for them and strengthens their development. From the coming season, students will increasingly return to live experiences, accompanied by the security and self-confidence they were able to build up at the Penthesilea Academy.
