A particularly lively highlight took place on 23 July: Numerous children transformed the pavement of Leonding's town square into a colourful picture gallery during a large street chalk campaign. They enthusiastically drew their wishes, dreams and ideas for the anniversary - from colourful birthday cakes and fantasy worlds to the Leonding logo in all colours.
"With their creativity, the children show us what Leonding needs for the next 50 years: Joy, diversity and a place for everyone," says Mayor Dr Sabine Naderer-Jelinek.
A day full of colour and imagination
The campaign was part of the ongoing celebrations surrounding the "50 years of Leonding" anniversary, which will be accompanied by events for all generations throughout the year. The town square became a canvas - and a stage for enthusiasm and community spirit.
#schongenial, how a few chalks can create so much joy - and how Leonding shows that city history can also be colourful and child-friendly.
