In times when economic headlines are often characterised by uncertainty, austerity programmes and difficult forecasts, positive news takes on particular importance. It strengthens the general mood and confidence in the location - even under challenging conditions. This makes examples from the domestic economy that demonstrate this all the more important: They do exist, the success stories.

Banner Group - a strong start to the year with a signalling effect

Such a positive signal is currently coming from Upper Austria. The battery manufacturer from Leonding/Linz is starting the new year with a strong tailwind and can report a very pleasing order situation. Before the end of the year, two major long-term orders were finalised with well-known customers from Europe and North America. The total volume of EUR 195 million ensures that production capacities will be fully utilised until 2028 and underlines the company's competitiveness in a challenging market environment.

Long-term partnerships as the basis for success

Two newly concluded three-year contracts will further intensify the collaboration with long-standing partners from the automotive industry. One key component is a major order from a leading German car manufacturer totalling 120 million euros. Batteries for start-stop applications, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles will be supplied both for series production and for the original spare parts business. The agreement continues a partnership that has grown over the years and confirms Banner's technological expertise and high delivery reliability.

Growth despite challenging conditions

A further three-year contract with a volume of 75 million euros also strengthens the Banner Group's presence in North America. The focus is on the spare parts business, particularly in Canada. Despite unfavourable exchange rate developments, high energy and labour costs and increasing regulatory requirements, the company is able to further expand its market position.

#schongenial that positive news is possible even in economically challenging times.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
