The award recognises buildings and projects that meet high standards in the areas of energy efficiency, use of renewable energy, ecological building materials, comfort and quality of planning and execution.
The assessment is based on transparent criteria of the klimaaktiv building standard. Depending on the number of points achieved, awards are presented in the bronze, silver or gold categories. The klimaaktiv award is therefore not only a recognition of outstanding achievements, but also an important instrument for promoting sustainable building in municipalities, among property developers and in planning practice.
Energy Municipalities Day: A stage for the future of energy
Recently, the Bachschmiede in Wals was all about sustainable energy supply. Municipalities, experts and project partners came together at the Energy Municipalities Day organised by the Salzburg Institute for Spatial Planning and Housing (SIR) to present innovative solutions for the local energy transition. The focus was on concrete examples of how climate protection, affordable housing and a high quality of life can be combined.
GSWB project in Grödig honoured with klimaaktiv award
A particular highlight of the event was the klimaaktiv award for the GSWB project "Neue-Heimat-Straße Grödig, Haus 1+2". The award underlines GSWB's consistent focus on energy efficiency, climate protection and long-term sustainability in residential construction. Christian Lechner and Johannes Ganster accepted the award on behalf of the project. The award-winning residential construction project is an example of the responsible use of resources and shows what modern, sustainable residential construction in Salzburg can look like.
When housing is both socially balanced and ecologically sensible, we think that's #schongenial.
