This is what happened in mid-July when 40 youth groups with over 600 participants including their supervisors from the entire Linz-Land district and Linz met in Leonding for a weekend with a varied programme, planned, organised and implemented by the Rufling volunteer fire brigade.
Every single item on the programme was an adventure in itself. The programme included moving into a tent camp, a visit to the Rosenbauer company, which provided an in-depth insight into the production of the globally sought-after emergency vehicles, an orienteering march through Leonding, where the young people were able to put their skills to the test. Thrills were also provided with a Flying Fox (fast zip line), fun with the giant Wuzzler and cooling off at a mobile ice cream stand from Surace made hearts beat faster
#It's amazing what the volunteers of the fire brigade put together "on the side". The efforts of the many volunteers cannot be praised highly enough, because these often unnoticed contributions contribute to the success of society. We make positive things visible, we make people aware of positive things!
