The focus was not only on photography, but above all on exploring one’s own identity. The children and young people were invited to discover themselves in creative ways and to bring their strengths, interests and unique qualities to the fore. The result is a collection of impressive portraits and visual works that reveal far more than just faces.
More than just a photo
The project offered the pupils the opportunity to view themselves from a new perspective. With the support of experts, ideas were developed, motifs created and personal stories told. Each image became an expression of individual personality.
This highlighted just how diverse the talents and characters of these young people are. The photos inspire confidence, boost self-esteem and convey an important message: every person is unique and valuable.
Exhibition as the highlight
The results of the project were finally presented to the public as part of an exhibition. Visitors gained a special insight into the pupils’ lives and were able to experience how creatively and expressively the young artists had showcased their personalities.
The project is also a successful example of ASO Hart’s educational philosophy, which focuses on the individual abilities and potential of every child. “Im Bild sein” impressively demonstrates how schools can create spaces in which children and young people can grow, flourish and develop self-confidence.
