Representatives of the organisation, including captain Fabio Varesi-Strauß and Alexander Briedl, personally handed over aid packages to people affected by homelessness or poverty. The campaign emphasised the importance of direct help and personal encounters in order to convey appreciation and attention. For many of those affected, this support not only means material help, but also the feeling of being seen and taken seriously.
Achieving more together
The fundraising campaign was supported by great commitment within the blue and white community. Members, fans and supporters actively participated by making donations in kind and thus making an important contribution. The club also used the opportunity to draw attention to ongoing opportunities to help.
A strong signal beyond sport
Special thanks go to the organisation team led by Walter Kreische, who worked hard to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The initiative impressively demonstrates that football clubs can be more than just sporting organisations. Blau-Weiß Linz takes responsibility and uses its reach to make social issues visible and actively support them. Such actions not only strengthen social cohesion in the region, but also emphasise the importance of solidarity in everyday life. The club is sending out a clear signal: Success is not only measured on the pitch, but also by how much you give back to the community.
We think that's #schongenial.
