As is already the case at Vienna Airport, Linz Airport will now also be equipped with its own railway station. Construction will start this year. From 2031, it should be possible to reach the airport directly from Linz Central Station in around 15 minutes. Until now, the airport could only be reached by car, taxi or airport shuttle.
Modern transport hub
The new Hörsching railway station is to become a regional transport hub for trains, buses, bikes, cars and planes and will be characterised by modern, bright architecture as well as barrier-free platforms that allow stepless access to the train. Park & Ride and Bike & Ride facilities will also make it easy to change to the railway.
This is not only an advantage for travellers: the planned station is located in the heart of the growing business area around Hörsching Airport and will also enable numerous employees to travel to work in comfort in the future.
