Published by the ARGE for the homeless, Kupfermuckn stands for courage, authenticity and social participation. It creates visibility and strengthens the self-efficacy of its co-creators - people with life stories that otherwise often remain hidden.
So it was all the better that some members of the Kupfermuckn editorial team were recently able to visit the Hofmann Personal Stadium. The programme included an exclusive tour of the stadium. The guests were given exciting insights into areas that normally remain hidden from spectators - including the players' tunnel, the skyboxes and the press rooms.
Football with attitude: a donation with symbolic power
A few days earlier, at the last home game of the season against Red Bull Salzburg, there was another special moment: during the half-time break, the fans of FC Blau-Weiß Linz handed over a donation cheque for EUR 1,997 to the managing director of ARGE für Obdachlose. The sum was chosen deliberately - it refers to the year in which Kupfermuckn was founded.
There was great joy at this gesture. In a statement of thanks, the editorial team emphasised: "We had two reasons to say thank you to FC Blau-Weiß Linz. In addition to the donation, we were also able to experience a fantastic tour of the stadium, which our guide Andreas enriched with lots of exciting information. The group was thrilled and is already looking forward to another visit in the autumn."
The social commitment surrounding the club shows that football can be more than just sport. It is also a platform for solidarity, respect and social interaction. We think that's #schongenial.
