Hands-on financial literacy
How is money created? Why is saving important? What does it mean to take out a loan? And how do financial decisions affect your own life? Questions like these are at the heart of the new educational programme. Across an area of around 500 square metres, visitors can explore various stations where they can get hands-on. Instead of traditional lectures, there are interactive games, digital applications and exciting challenges that bring financial concepts to life.
Learning for life
Financial education is becoming increasingly important. Whether it’s online shopping, a mobile phone contract or your first home, many decisions have financial implications. Young people should learn early on to better assess opportunities and risks and to handle money responsibly. With the Flip, Sparkasse Oberösterreich is creating a space where young people can acquire important skills for their future. The programme is aimed primarily at school classes and is free to use.
A new learning hub for Linz
With its location in the Linzerie, Linz is gaining an innovative learning space that combines education with hands-on experience. The modern design and interactive content show that financial education today can be so much more than just numbers and formulas. #schongenial.
