Together with partners, customers and employees, EUR 1,500 was collected. This sum was doubled by the company so that EUR 3,000 was recently handed over to the Linz-Land Red Cross - a strong sign of regional solidarity and social responsibility.
A place where opportunities grow
The decision to support Lerninsel Traun was no coincidence. "As a regional company, we see it as our responsibility to make a contribution to the community.
The work of the Red Cross and the promotion of education through Lerninsel are particularly close to our hearts,"
explains Friedrich Födinger, Managing Director and founder of Födinger Heizung Bad.
His son and authorised signatory Leonardo Födinger adds:
"Education in particular is the key to a better future. With our donation, we want to open up prospects for young people and strengthen them on their path."
The Lerninsel Traun is an education and care project run by the Red Cross Linz-Land, which is aimed specifically at children and young people from socio-economically disadvantaged families. The aim is to enable educational success through targeted learning support, individualised care and a stable environment, which would often be difficult to achieve without additional support. In addition to academic support, the programme also focuses on social skills, language development and personal development. The children are accompanied by both pedagogically trained specialist staff and volunteers - in an environment that promotes safety, trust and development.
"What makes Lerninsel special is the intensive support provided in small groups and one-to-one settings by professional educational staff and volunteers.
The aim is to develop and strengthen the children and young people's cognitive, creative and motor skills with a successful mix of everyday learning and a well thought-out leisure programme. Our teachers and volunteers do a wonderful job, we are very grateful and people who want to get involved are always very welcome," says Wolfgang Eisner, Head of Service at the Red Cross in Traun.
