Optimising transport efficiency
To increase efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions, Blåkläder ensures that only fully loaded containers are dispatched from the production sites. This is achieved through cooperation with selected factories and strict control of the entire value chain.
Avoiding environmentally harmful transport methods
Careful advance planning and sophisticated logistics enable Blåkläder to avoid more environmentally damaging transport options such as air freight. An automated warehouse at the company's headquarters in Sweden enables precise product control so that customers receive their orders without unnecessary waiting times.
Helmuth Wiesinger, Managing Director of Blåkläder WorkWear GmbH, emphasises: "Sustainability is not a trend, but a commitment. Our goal is to establish environmentally friendly logistics processes that make a real difference."
Use of recyclable packaging materials
Blåkläder uses recyclable plastic bags to protect the garments during transport. These prevent soiling, mould growth and unpleasant odours. Although plastic is controversial, its use in this case is more sustainable as it ensures the quality of the products and avoids waste from unusable goods.
Reuse of packaging materials
Blåkläder takes responsibility for the cardboard packaging used and is currently able to reuse 60% of the cardboard from production. This reduces the consumption of resources and supports the company's sustainability goals.
