Where others see waste, Zellinger sees potential. Every day, large quantities of materials are produced that are often regarded as worthless. For Zellinger GmbH in Walding, however, this is precisely where a new cycle begins. Behind paper, packaging, metals and biogenic waste lie valuable raw materials that can be reused through modern recycling and innovative recovery processes.

“We give waste value” is therefore far more than just a company slogan. It is an expression of a conviction: the responsible use of resources is one of the key challenges of our time. Keeping raw materials in the cycle conserves natural resources, reduces emissions and lays the foundations for a sustainable future.

For four generations, Zellinger, a family-run business, has been synonymous with modern waste and resource management in Upper Austria. Around 130 employees develop waste management solutions for private households, businesses and public institutions, with the aim of making the best possible use of resources and creating sustainable added value for the environment, the economy and society.

“For us, waste is not an end product, but the start of a new cycle. Our aim is to make the best possible use of every resource’s potential and thereby create sustainable added value for the environment, the economy and the people in our region,” confirms Jürgen Humer-Zellinger, Managing Director of Zellinger GmbH.

The circular economy shapes the future

The circular economy is far more than just recycling. It ensures that valuable raw materials remain within the economic cycle and that natural resources are conserved. Glass is turned back into glass, paper is given a new lease of life, and metals and plastics are processed into new products. This saves energy, reduces CO₂ emissions and strengthens the supply of valuable raw materials.

Zellinger sees itself as an active shaper of this development. The company ensures that waste is professionally processed and reused as raw materials. In this way, what might be considered rubbish is transformed into sustainable added value for the environment and society.

Sustainability requires innovation

Sustainability means making the fullest possible use of available resources. To this end, Zellinger relies on modern technologies and efficient processes.

At the company’s own ÖKO-Park, biogenic waste is converted into renewable energy in a biogas plant. The electricity and heat generated are then fed into further processes, demonstrating how valuable energy is created from waste. In this way, Zellinger combines environmental responsibility with economic efficiency and consistently advances the circular economy.

Responsibility for the region

A well-functioning waste and resource management system is one of the indispensable foundations of a society worth living in. It protects the environment and the climate, conserves valuable raw materials and, at the same time, contributes to regional value creation, jobs and security of supply.

As a family-run business with deep regional roots, Zellinger takes on responsibility that extends far beyond waste disposal. Together with local authorities, businesses and residents, we create circular systems that conserve resources and safeguard quality of life in the long term.

Creating value and securing the future

The true value of waste lies not in its disposal, but in its potential. With experience, innovative strength and a clear commitment to the circular economy, Zellinger demonstrates how modern resource management works today: conserving raw materials, generating energy and creating new value from what others throw away.

“We give waste value.” This is not just a #brilliant promise to our customers, but a concrete contribution to a sustainable and future-proof society.
