Sparkasse Oberösterreich impressively demonstrated how important regional roots are in a complex world: it not only knows its customers, but also understands the local economic structures. Its aim is to bring people together, connect bright minds and thus create a breeding ground for sustainable development.
Confidence does not come from wishful thinking
A highlight of the event was the presentation by Joachim Haindl-Grutsch, Managing Director of the Federation of Austrian Industries. With clear words, he outlined what is important now:
"Optimism does not come from wishful thinking, but from clear economic policy realism:
Only a lean state with a decreasing tax and contribution rate, which relies on the forces of the market economy, promotes international cooperation, ensures the competitiveness of the industrial location and rewards people's performance, creates the basis for new trust, investment and sustainable prosperity for all. ...."
Innovation starts with people
The event impressively emphasised that the future is created where people work together on solutions. Companies such as IFN-Holding and Fill Ges.m.b.H show what this looks like in practice - with a clear focus on training and further education, investment in innovation and a corporate culture that promotes creativity and responsibility.
#schongenial, when successful companies set a clear signal for the region - and thus for a sustainable future worth living.
