Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ – together with the Raiffeisen banks of Upper Austria – sees itself as a strong, influential force in the province. It closely links its leading role in the economy with an active commitment to social responsibility. In keeping with its guiding principle, “WIR makes it possible”, the bank supports a wide range of scientific, medical, social and socio-political initiatives in Upper Austria. Two of these special projects are the TalentsLounge and Aurora.

TalentsLounge – Innovative learning platform

DaVinciLab’s TalentsLounge is an innovative learning platform developed specifically for teaching the compulsory subject ‘Digital Literacy’ in Austrian schools. It is primarily aimed at teachers and pupils in lower secondary education (i.e. lower AHS or Neue Mittelschule) and enables programming and digital skills to be taught in a practical way – with no prior knowledge required. The TalentsLounge is a web-based learning resource comprising over 20 interactive lessons covering topics such as coding, digital literacy and computational thinking. In the 2024/25 school year, over 6,000 pupils and 350 teachers had already used the platform.

RLB OÖ supports basic digital education in Upper Austria

As part of the TalentsLounge project, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich is actively committed to digital education. For the 2025/2026 school year, RLB OÖ has covered the costs of 20 class licences for schools in the Linz area. Thanks to RLB OÖ’s support, many pupils will be able to acquire important digital skills and prepare for the challenges of the future.

AURORA – A safe haven

Since 2020, the non-profit organisation AURORA has been supporting women who are or have been involved in prostitution. Through a holistic social work programme, AURORA supports women on their journey out of sex work – individually, respectfully and with great dedication. A central component of this support is transitional housing, which is financially supported by Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ. Many of the women who turn to AURORA live in brothels or hostels whilst working – often without a fixed address. This not only makes it difficult to find new employment but also hinders access to social services. AURORA offers these women a safe haven where they can find peace and develop new prospects. RLB OÖ supports AURORA by funding the rent and running costs for the transitional accommodation. You can find more information about the organisation at: www.verein-aurora.at
