Green electricity with a price advantage

Green electricity, energy communities, ÖAMTC ePower, Raiffeisen Energie

An innovative model from mobility club ÖAMTC and Raiffeisen Upper Austria is bringing electricity from energy communities to public e-charging stations for the first time.

Sharing electricity is already genial!

Surplus electricity produced by the energy communities is utilised directly on site. Raiffeisen Energie cooperative members receive free access to the Austria-wide ÖAMTC ePower charging network and save 20 to 30% of the costs per charging process.

"The mobility partnership with ÖAMTC is a forward-looking model. It allows us to create meaningful, economic added value for local authorities, companies and the general public,"

says Heinrich Schaller, General Director of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich.

Raiffeisen Energie: regional, cooperative, forward-looking

Since 2024, the energy communities supported by Raiffeisen Energie have been producing regional green electricity for their members. To date, there are 27 renewable energy communities in Upper Austria, with further projects being planned or already implemented. Raiffeisen Energie facilitates trading in sustainably generated energy for private households as well as for companies or the public sector. An energy community is not profit-orientated. The benefits for members in the form of fair and stable energy prices, regardless of whether they are consumers or feeders, take centre stage.
