Loose tie, a clear message: men, show responsibility!

Loose Tie, Blau Weiss Linz, prostate cancer, early detection

Health awareness doesn't have to be preachy - as the Austrian Cancer Aid's "Loose Tie" campaign proves. A loosely tied tie becomes a symbol: it calls on men to talk openly about their health and take prostate cancer prevention seriously - with ease but a clear message.

Every year, over 6,000 men in Austria are diagnosed with prostate cancer - the disease is usually easily treatable if detected early. However, the topic is often characterised by uncertainty or shame. "Loose Tie" aims to change this: Prevention is not a sign of weakness, but of responsibility.

FC Blau-Weiß Linz sets a good example

Professional sport is also setting an example: FC Blau-Weiß Linz is actively supporting the campaign. On 21 June, the club is hosting a day of action for the benefit of Upper Austrian Cancer Aid at the "Tante Kaethe" in Linz. In addition to information and exchange, the focus is on personal dialogue - an important step towards breaking down barriers.

This commitment is not an isolated case: the organisation has been committed to inclusion, equality and sustainability for years - and shows how sport can take on social responsibility.

#schongenial when a football club with tradition sets an example for men's health.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
