Muscular disorders are usually incurable and affect children throughout their lives. As a result, many families face significant challenges, both emotionally and financially. Specialised therapies, medical aids, home adaptations and essential support services often incur high costs. Donations from the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour help to provide affected children with vital treatments, support programmes and aids that make their daily lives easier and open up new prospects. This gives families support that often goes far beyond medical care.
Powerful support for little heroes
Sonnleitner also supported this initiative as part of the Harley-Davidson® Open Houses in Haid and Salzburg. Donations were collected at both events to actively promote the work of the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour and, in doing so, support children with muscular disorders.
The official handover of the donation took place at the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour charity event in Steyr. Numerous motorbike enthusiasts gathered there to send a powerful message of solidarity and unity. Alongside the shared experience, the focus was above all on the charitable spirit: bringing people together to help those in need.
An impressive result
The result of the fundraising campaign was particularly encouraging: Sonnleitner was able to present a donation cheque for 1,690 euros to the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour. The amount was raised by visitors to the Open Houses in Upper Austria and Salzburg and will now go directly towards supporting children with muscular disorders. For Sonnleitner, this was just the beginning. The family-run business intends to continue supporting the initiative in the future.
The campaign impressively demonstrates that even small contributions can make a big difference. After all, behind every donation lies the chance for a better quality of life, new opportunities and valuable support for children and families who live with the challenges of a muscular disorder every day.
We think initiatives like the Harley-Davidson® Charity Tour are #absolutelybrilliant.
