The colour pink has long since become a symbol of hope, strength and solidarity. It is a reminder of the importance of early detection and awareness of the most common cancer in women. Because the earlier breast cancer is recognised, the better the chances of recovery. However, men can also be affected, which is why education and awareness are crucial for everyone.
All around the world, people, organisations and cities are sending out a colourful signal against silence and for solidarity. Pink is not just a colour, but an attitude: look, support and act together.
Leonding shows heart and attitude
The city of Leonding also joined in impressively this year and called on its employees to take part in a day of action under the motto "Wear pink - take a stand!". Numerous colleagues turned up in pink clothing - from subtle accessories to brightly coloured outfits. The Stadtsaal Leonding was bathed in bright pink, a symbol that will remain visible until the end of October and envelop the entire city in warm light.
With this campaign, Leonding is sending out a clear signal: Community can make a difference. Every pink scarf, every illuminated building and every visible gesture symbolises solidarity, courage and awareness. #schongenial.
