A raffle with extraordinary prizes was also on offer: VIP tickets for an FC Bayern game, signed jerseys from Upper Austrian football clubs and many other highlights put a smile on everyone's face.
The physical well-being was also well catered for: Bratwurst sausages from the Pöppl butcher's and Baumgartner beer left nothing to be desired. The festival, organised by the entire "Innviertel-Schärding" team from Upper Austria, impressed with a colourful programme and a warm atmosphere.
1,900 euros for the use of therapy dogs
In keeping with the motto "Doing good locally", the net proceeds from the pumpkin festival - an impressive 1,900 euros - were handed over to the Caritas workshop in Andorf on 22 October 2024. This donation will be used to finance cost-intensive dog therapies that benefit people with disabilities.
The Caritas workshop in Andorf offers employment opportunities and promotes the skills of people with cognitive and multiple impairments who are unable to find a place on the general labour market. Thanks to the generous support of all visitors, an important contribution was made to this valuable work.
Florian Schönleitner, customer advisor at Oberösterreichische in the Innviertel-Schärding region, puts it in a nutshell:
"Our aim with the pumpkin festival was not only to create a wonderful experience for the region, but also to make a sustainable contribution. It's great to see how this donation directly benefits people in the region."
#schongenial, this creativity, bringing regional products in front of the curtain, inviting children to get actively involved, promoting community experience and socialising among adults and doing good at the same time. We think that's already genial!
