Self-service stations strengthen cycling infrastructure

Self-service stations

The ÖAMTC offers practical self-service stations so that small repairs to bicycles can be carried out independently, thus strengthening the regional infrastructure for cyclists.

Many people use bicycles as a means of transport for their daily journeys to work and in their leisure time. The right incentives and measures are needed to further promote this trend towards sustainable mobility. The ÖAMTC therefore supports numerous municipalities with free self-service stations to strengthen the regional infrastructure for cyclists.

Well-equipped self-service stations

A crooked saddle, too little air in the inner tube, weak brakes - it's often the little things that stop cyclists in their tracks. If the necessary tools are missing, the ÖAMTC bike repair stations can help.

Each of the more than 50 stations throughout Upper Austria is equipped with a suspension device, an air pump and tools such as Allen keys, spanners and tyre levers. This makes it easy to repair small punctures yourself free of charge. And if a breakdown cannot be repaired, the ÖAMTC breakdown service is also available to cyclists by phone via emergency number 120 or the ÖAMTC app.
