State-of-the-art technology, practical training and individualised support are used to train the specialists of tomorrow, who not only bring technical expertise with them.

Innovative training: technology, practice and the digital future

With the new training workshop in Linz, ÖAMTC Upper Austria is focussing on training that combines state-of-the-art technology and practical relevance. From classic cars and bicycles to e-cars and autonomous vehicles - the training programme covers the entire spectrum of mobility.

Country Director Harald Großauer emphasises: "Our apprentices are actively helping to shape the mobility of tomorrow. To this end, we provide them with a broad range of technical knowledge that is unique in the industry."

The lessons are supplemented by digital tools, such as an e-learning platform that uses gamification approaches to train diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. A hybrid classroom also enables exchange between locations and takes learning to a new level.
However, ÖAMTC Upper Austria goes even further: external learning coaches support the apprentices throughout their entire training period. This combination of technical expertise, modern learning methods and individual support ensures that the training meets the highest standards and that the young talents are optimally prepared for the challenges of the future.

Attractive prospects: Apprenticeships as a career path with potential

For more than 25 years, ÖAMTC Upper Austria has relied on apprenticeships as a cornerstone for the next generation of skilled workers. The club is currently training 41 apprentices in Upper Austria, including 23 new apprentices, a growing proportion of whom are female. The apprentices' outstanding performance at vocational school and in their final exams is particularly noteworthy.

Monika Sandberger, Managing Director of the association z.l.ö. - zukunft.lehre.österreich, also underlines the importance of such programmes: "Attractive prospects such as those offered by the ÖAMTC are crucial to getting more young people interested in apprenticeships and securing the next generation of skilled workers in the long term."
