But mobility does not end at the roadside. At the 18 locations in Upper Austria, more than 132,500 breakdowns were repaired directly on site, often before the journey was even interrupted. Whether technical checks, warning lights or unusual noises: many problems were quickly resolved. In total, over 756,000 personal contacts were made - a strong sign of trust, service quality and proximity to the people in the country.
On duty all year round for a clear journey
The strength of the breakdown service was particularly evident in challenging times. During the winter months, when the cold takes its toll on people and equipment, assistance was requested particularly often. January saw almost 9,800 call-outs, November even saw almost 10,000. The number of call-outs also remained high in summer, when many people are on the road enjoying their holidays and leisure time. From June to August, an average of around 9,270 call-outs were recorded per month. This is proof that ÖAMTC assistance is available precisely when mobility is important.
Understanding technology, ensuring mobility
The most common reason for a call-out in 2025 was again the car battery. Around a third of all assistance was for this reason. At the same time, this shows great added value: with jump-starting assistance, advice and simple tips, many vehicles were quickly brought back on the road. Incidentally, this also applies to electric cars. Other common reasons were engine and tyre problems: all situations in which quick help is crucial for staying mobile.
This #schongenial balance sheet 2025 makes it clear: thanks to dedicated technicians, nationwide locations and high service quality, people in Upper Austria remain reliably mobile. Day after day and in all weathers.
