Team Raiffeisen Upper Austria takes to the pedals
The Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich 2024 team once again achieved impressive results in the "Upper Austria cycles" campaign. With the motto "No mercy for the calf", a total of 5,716 participants, including the dedicated team from Raiffeisen Upper Austria, collected kilometre after kilometre - and at the highest level. From March to the end of September, the 136 employees of RLB OÖ, the Upper Austrian Raiffeisen banks and Hypo Salzburg alone covered around 157,000 kilometres on their bikes. This achievement is more than just an impressive figure. It symbolises the Raiffeisenlandesbank's commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and at the same time strengthening the health and cohesion of its employees.
CEO Heinrich Schaller puts it in a nutshell: "By participating in the campaign, Raiffeisen Upper Austria is not only making a contribution to sustainable mobility, but also promoting the health and sense of community of its employees."
Cycling and Raiffeisen - a strong team
RLB OÖ is committed to promoting cycling in a variety of ways: Raiffeisen OÖ has been a strong partner of numerous competitions for many years, including classics such as the Raiffeisen Granit Marathon, the 24-hour cycling marathon in Grieskirchen, the Raiffeisen OÖ Rundfahrt or the "Race around Austria", one of the toughest ultra races in Europe. However, the commitment to cycling goes far beyond sponsoring races. Raiffeisen Upper Austria focusses in particular on working with young talent in the clubs and also relies on close cooperation with Upper Austrian tourism.
"Cycling is about endurance, fitness, partnership and the region that benefits from it. This is also particularly important to Raiffeisen Upper Austria: we show endurance and have the necessary stamina when it comes to supporting our customers. And we are active as partners in the regions, providing impetus and helping to shape them," says Heinrich Schaller, CEO of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich.
Fit for work
Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich also sets standards when it comes to cycling infrastructure for employees: secure parking facilities, changing rooms, showers and a "Lease my Bike" offer, which provides favourable leasing conditions for high-quality bicycles, ensure that the commute to work is a healthy and climate-friendly journey. The public bicycle service station at Südbahnhofmarkt also shows how Raiffeisen Upper Austria creates added value for the community. Offers like this make cycling a healthy, fun and environmentally friendly choice.
With its extensive commitment to cycling, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich impressively demonstrates how sustainable mobility and responsibility for the region can go hand in hand. We think that's #superb.
