Vienna General Hospital in the spotlight
The close connection between patient care, research and teaching at the 29 university hospitals run jointly by Vienna General Hospital and MedUni Vienna is particularly noteworthy. With over 400 specialised outpatient clinics, they offer comprehensive care for patients. Every year, more than 60,000 patients are treated as inpatients, and the outpatient clinics also record around 1.1 million visits. These figures emphasise the immense importance of these facilities for medical care in Vienna and beyond.
