Working with young people is much more than just training sessions and competitions. Whether in football, music, the fire brigade or social initiatives: the future is created wherever young people are supported. Clubs convey values such as team spirit, reliability, fairness and motivation. They create spaces in which children and young people can take on responsibility, develop self-confidence and experience community.

Sport in particular shows how important these structures are. Working with young talent means not only training them athletically, but also strengthening them personally. Financial support plays a key role in this. Training equipment, infrastructure, trips to away games or special experiences would often not be possible without committed partners. But money alone does not make a club. The decisive factor is the shared experience - moments that bond, motivate and remain in the memory for a long time. The junior team of SPG Weitersfelden/Kaltenberg/Liebenau recently enjoyed such an experience.

A derby as an unforgettable highlight

On 14 February, the U10 team from SPG Weitersfelden/Kaltenberg/Liebenau attended the Upper Austrian derby between SV Ried and LASK at the BWTX Upper Austrian Arena. The football match ended with a fair 1:1.

The visit to the stadium by the 23 young footballers and four coaches and carers was made possible by Oberösterreichische Versicherung. For around 80 per cent of the children, who are spread across the U7 to U14 divisions, it was the first time they had visited a stadium and watched a Bundesliga match live.

"The Upper Austrian derby between SV Ried and LASK was a real highlight for our kids. We put a lot of heart and soul into our youth work at the club, and a shared experience like this is priceless. Thanks also to Oberösterreichische Versicherung for this campaign and its commitment to youth football in Upper Austria," emphasised Daniel Kern, coach of the U10 team at SPG Weitersfelden/Kaltenberg/Liebenau.

Strong partners for strong clubs

Oberösterreichische is a strong partner of the local football landscape in all leagues. As part of its commitment to this popular sport, the company invited a junior team to this top-class event in the Upper Austrian national league as part of a competition.

Activities like this are intended to support the work of young talent in the clubs and strengthen team spirit. Kathrin Kühtreiber-Leitner and Robert Wasner, directors of Oberösterreichische Versicherung, emphasise the importance of promoting young talent in regional clubs: "Anyone who stands in the stadium with the whole team as a youngster and experiences the Upper Austrian derby up close will take team spirit and motivation with them. This is precisely the core of club life in Upper Austria. That's why we didn't just want to give away tickets. We wanted to give an entire youth team a shared, special experience of top Austrian football."

#It's #schongenial when successful companies give young people a shared experience that strengthens team spirit, motivation and solidarity in the long term.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
