Games are played wherever space is available - on meadows, small green spaces or in courtyards in the centre of the city.
This year, GWSB's green space in Franz-Ofner-Straße became a playing field for the first time. For the Salzburg housing developer, there was no question of supporting this campaign. It illustrates how low-threshold and at the same time effective community can be created. An inconspicuous lawn has been transformed into a lively place where children can get moving, make new friends and experience carefree moments.
Joy, movement and a clear signal
On a total of five Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m., the area was transformed into a place full of dynamism. Under the guidance of two dedicated coaches, the children chased after the ball, tried out tricks, cheered for goals and enjoyed the simple happiness of playing outdoors. Even GWSB Managing Director Ferdinand Hochleitner didn't miss the opportunity to drop by and attend the afternoon as a guest.
Lukas Koller, the property manager responsible for this and of course other properties, puts it in a nutshell: "When the enquiry came in, I quickly realised that we would be happy to make the space available. It often doesn't take much to make good use of a place outside of its actual purpose and give children space to play. Seeing them having fun and enjoying the community there was a great affirmation."
We think activities like this are #schongenial.
