Art and culture provide orientation, bring people together, open up discourse and impart knowledge. They not only play an identity-forming role, but also represent a significant economic factor.
Raiffeisen Upper Austria: Responsibility for culture and the region
The promotion of art and culture is a major concern for Raiffeisen Upper Austria. Culture is not only part of a society's identity, but is also closely intertwined with the economy. It is essential to further develop and promote cultural diversity, as it strengthens our business location and contributes to the positive reputation of our cultural region.
As the largest regional bank in the province, Raiffeisen Upper Austria is committed not only to the economy, but also to culture. This awareness is reflected in a broad commitment to culture, education, social affairs, ecology and sport and is firmly anchored in the DNA of Raiffeisen Upper Austria. Thanks to its close roots in the communities, Raiffeisen is able to be active in Upper Austria in a targeted yet extensive manner - with the aim of strengthening the "WE locally" and preserving our homeland as an attractive, vibrant living space for togetherness.
"Salzklang": a cultural highlight with a strong partnership
One particular example of this powerful collaboration between culture and business is the "Salzklang" event in the Salzkammergut region. Initiated in the Capital of Culture year 2024, this highlight was continued this year as part of the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks Gmunden: two unforgettable concert evenings with star tenor Rolando Villazón, musical star Daniela Dett and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz under chief conductor Markus Poschner were offered in the salt processing hall of the Ebensee salt works as part of the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks Gmunden.
RLB Upper Austria CEO Reinhard Schwendtbauer emphasised the strong connection with the region: "There is a long-standing partnership between Raiffeisen Upper Austria, Salinen Austria AG and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, which has always shaped the cultural and economic profile of our federal state."
#schongenial, when cultural sponsorship not only makes art possible, but also shows how business and culture together make a region vibrant, attractive and fit for the future.
