An impressive event in Linz marked the official launch of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich’s new women’s network, “möglichMACHERIN”. Around 300 guests enjoyed an evening that was not only informative but, above all, moving and thought-provoking.

The focus was on the screening of the documentary film “The Last Ambassador”, which sheds light on the realities of life for women in Afghanistan. The Afghan ambassador, Manizha Bakhtari, shared personal insights and made it clear how essential it is to give women a voice worldwide. Her message: silence is not an option. Courage and solidarity are crucial for change.

The importance of collaboration was also emphasised at a corporate level. As RLB board member Sigrid Burkowski stressed: “Transformation can only succeed if everyone works together”.

A network with a clear mission

The “möglichMACHERIN” women’s network was launched on the initiative of committed female employees and pursues a clear goal: to empower, connect and support women. This is not just about exchange, but about concrete development opportunities and sustainable change.

Sigrid Burkowski sums it up: “We women must support, network and encourage one another. As the board, we stand fully behind our women’s network, because ‘female empowerment’ is a central component of our corporate strategy.”

In addition, the company is focusing on new formats such as “Cross Gender Dialogues”, which specifically promote dialogue between women and men. The aim is to attract more women to key positions and actively develop existing structures.

Shaping the future – together and sustainably

The direction is clear: equality should not merely be a goal, but a lived reality. It is already evident today that women make up a significant proportion of the workforce and are increasingly taking on leadership roles.

In addition to internal initiatives, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich also focuses on targeted services for female customers, such as personalised financial advice and specialised training programmes. This approach to empowerment is holistic.

#schongenial, because the “enablers” stand for a clear stance: change happens where people strengthen one another, network and forge new paths together.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
