Under the supervision of 28 dedicated trainers and carers, the main focus was on having fun with exercise. The participants came from Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Vienna, Carinthia, Tyrol, Salzburg, Styria and neighbouring countries to experience an unforgettable week together.
The children were divided into three groups according to age and ability and each had three intensive training sessions per day at SMS Linz Kleinmünchen and at the racing school. In addition, a variety of leisure activities such as swimming in the Schörgenhubbad, volleyball, yoga and outdoor games such as badminton ensured even more fun and exercise.
The physical well-being was also well catered for: all children received a full meal consisting of breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. In addition, all participants received a KEMPA T-shirt and a handball thanks to the support of our equipment supplier KEMPA.
Overnight accommodation was provided in the classrooms of the Renner school, naturally separated into girls and boys. The response was overwhelming: the camp was fully booked and the children clearly enjoyed themselves.
We are particularly proud of the fact that our club was the first club in Austria to organise a handball camp of this kind in 2009. The 13th edition in 2024 was therefore a special anniversary edition, after the camp had to take a break in 2020, 2021 and 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic and hall renovations. We are already looking forward to next year and more unforgettable experiences at the handball youth camp!
#It's amazing how many activities are offered to our youth. However, many things would not be possible in this quality without courageous companies such as Linz AG, KEMPA or #schongenial partner Duo Plast. Thank you very much! Making positive things visible AND aware is the step towards appreciation, which in turn strengthens qualities such as creativity, motivation and the ability to build relationships.
