An award for living tradition and innovative community projects
From the numerous submissions, an independent jury of experts unanimously chose a special theatre festival: in 2024, the award will go to the theatre association "Humorvorsorge" with the "1st IMPRO Festival Linz". According to the jury, the theatre festival has created an integrative and collaborative artistic event that has radiated far beyond the city's borders.
Raiffeisen Upper Austria has supported the People's Culture Prize for many years out of deep conviction: As a leading regional bank, it is rooted here and feels closely connected to the people and culture of Upper Austria. Regionality and a sense of community are core values that have always characterised Raiffeisen Upper Austria. Supporting cultural initiatives such as the Folk Culture Prize not only strengthens cultural diversity, but also promotes social interaction.
"Tradition needs modernity - because to ensure social relevance, it is important to move with the times. The projects submitted for the Folk Culture Prize show that it is not just about preserving something, but also about developing it further in the knowledge of tradition. This is exactly what characterises Raiffeisen Upper Austria: A modern orientation while at the same time reflecting on our values," emphasises Michaela Keplinger-Mitterlehner, Deputy General Manager of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich.
#It is #schongenial that the commitment to folk culture is brought before the curtain and honoured accordingly. An essential contribution to a successful society.
