At this charity run on 23 October 2024 in the Volksbankstadion Vöcklabruck, pupils from special schools will run stadium laps together with eight secondary schools and raise money in the process.
Thanks to the cooperation and generous support of Licht ins Dunkel, the sports4everybody association, the Upper Austrian Education Directorate, the city of Vöcklabruck, our #schongenial partner UNIQA Upper Austria and Special Olympics Upper Austria (SOOÖ), this event will be a unique experience.
The participating school classes, consisting of pupils aged 8 to 14, will run several laps of the Vöcklabruck sports stadium together (with and without disabilities) in 15-minute time slots, expressing their solidarity with people with special needs. Food and drink will also be provided for all participants. At the end of the event, everyone will receive a medal in recognition and remembrance of their participation.
"The participating schools can be proud of their pupils. Getting involved in integration and charity at a young age is great. I am delighted that UNIQA Upper Austria is once again able to support a special project of the Special Olympics Upper Austria," says Alexander Schinnerl, Regional Director of UNIQA Upper Austria.
This event offers schoolchildren a wonderful opportunity to take part in sporting activities, have fun and do something good at the same time.
