With six child protection centres in Vienna and Lower Austria , möwe offers free support to more than 4,000 victims and their caregivers every year. The services range from crisis intervention, counselling, psychological diagnostics and process support through to psychotherapy to help them come to terms with what they have experienced. A central concern of möwe is to make violence and abuse, which often happen in secret, visible and to offer those affected a safe space for healing. Preventive measures and awareness campaigns are also used to try to recognise and prevent violence against children at an early stage. möwe works closely with schools, kindergartens and other institutions to create a comprehensive protection network for children.
Drei Hilft: partnerships for a good cause
In order to maintain and expand its wide range of services, möwe relies on the support of strong partners from the business world. One such partnership is with Drei Hilft - a social initiative of the telecommunications company Drei. Together with selected partner organisations, Drei Hilft supports specific projects for people in Austria and is committed to helping children in crisis areas worldwide as a UNICEF emergency aid partner. Since the start of the initiative, over one million euros have been raised for projects against poverty, for people with disabilities, against violence against women and children and for (digital) education and inclusion.
Thanks to such collaborations, möwe is able to continuously offer and develop its important services. The financial support makes it possible to provide professional help for affected children and their families and to promote preventative measures. Companies like Drei assume social responsibility and make a significant contribution to ensuring that organisations like möwe can continue to exist in the long term and continue their work for the benefit of children.
