Based in Grambach near Graz, BDI is one of the pioneers in the field of green tech - and not without reason: as an active member of the Green Tech Valley Cluster, one of the leading innovation networks for climate protection technology, the company combines technical expertise with the clear goal of actively helping to shape the transition to a more sustainable economy.
Technology that makes environmental protection tangible
The new PreTreatment plant will be able to process a wide range of biogenic waste - from used cooking oil to industrial residues. Sophisticated cleaning and treatment technologies will be used to optimise the raw material for subsequent conversion into biofuel. The result: lower CO₂ emissions and a closed cycle in energy production.
A step forward for the circular economy
"This plant sets new standards in biofuel production," emphasise Manfred Baumgartner and David Niederl, Managing Directors of BDI.
"It shows how modern technology, economic thinking and a sense of ecological responsibility can go hand in hand."
With this new project, the company is once again demonstrating its role as a pioneer of climate-friendly solutions.
Strong roots in Green Tech Valley
BDI is also known for its proprietary technologies such as the Multi-Feedstock and RepCAT processes, which are used successfully around the world. The new plant is a useful addition to this portfolio and also strengthens Green Tech Valley's position as Europe's leading environmental cluster.
We think it's #schongenial when waste is turned into energy - regionally and in a climate-friendly way.
