More and more companies are therefore recognising how important it is to take preventative action and actively ensure the well-being of their teams. After all, workplace health promotion not only protects against illness, but also strengthens team spirit and identification with the employer.
Health is a way of life at Hochreiter
The Hochreiter Group demonstrated how consistently and appreciatively this approach can be implemented with its first Health Day, which was recently held at the Bad Leonfelden site. Owner Wolfgang Hochreiter emphasised: "The health of our employees is very important to us. We want to create awareness, impart knowledge and offer real support - because healthy employees are the basis of our success."
Around 100 colleagues took advantage of this new offer to obtain comprehensive information about preventive healthcare, early cancer detection and prevention. The aim was not only to impart knowledge to employees, but also to motivate them personally to take active control of their health.
A day full of knowledge, counselling and prevention
The Health Day offered a wide range of opportunities: From specialist lectures and practical first aid training to individual counselling from experts such as Prim. Dr Martin Burian, Prim. Dr Schöfl and Monika Hartl. The event was also supported by Österreichische Krebshilfe OÖ, Wiener Städtische Versicherung, the Red Cross and Vortuna Gesundheitsresort.
The personal counselling sessions on early detection, healthy eating, exercise and insurance issues were particularly well received. Hochreiter also sent out a strong signal for inclusion by organising the event in two languages with Czech interpretation so that all employees could benefit as much as possible. The event concluded with a healthy snack, which provided an opportunity to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere and let what had been heard sink in.
We think it's #schongenial when a successful company is genuinely concerned about the health of its employees.
