FC Blau-Weiß Linz provides sports day highlight
A total of up to 200 people from the lebensART housing associations came to take part in a varied sports programme together. The visit of vice-captain Fabio Strauß as well as Kristijan Dobras and Erwin Softic, who actively participated in the sports day, was a particular source of joy.
The professional footballers from FC Blau-Weiß Linz not only demonstrated their sporting prowess, but also their social responsibility and role model function. Fabio Strauß emphasised: "As a professional footballer, you also have a social responsibility and function as a role model. We are all the more pleased that we were able to take part in the Volkshilfe lebensART Sports Day today. It was great to see how much joie de vivre the residents radiated and makes us proud that we were able to play a small part in bringing a smile to their faces."
Football heroes in action
Günther Rachlinger and Johann Asanger, Head of Housing at Volkshilfe lebensART GmbH and organisers of the sports day, were delighted with the positive impact of the visit: "The visit from the Blau-Weiß footballers made our residents' faces light up and they will remember it for a long time. Especially because the likeable athletes not only signed autographs, but also actively participated in the sports day."
The FC Blau-Weiß Linz campaign shows that professional sport can be more than just a game on the pitch. Through their presence and participation in the sports day, the footballers helped to increase the joie de vivre of the participants and give them an unforgettable day. It is an inspiring collaboration that focuses not only on the sporting side of football, but also on the social side.
