The event not only attracted the invited guests, but also numerous children who responded to the club's call via social media and the website. What followed was more than just a training session - it was a day full of unforgettable moments. The children had the opportunity to collect autographs, take photos with their football heroes and were also allowed to actively participate in training with the Bundesliga team. Under the guidance of head coach Gerald Scheiblehner and his team, they received valuable first-hand tips, which was an unforgettable experience for the young athletes.
Successful surprise
But the surprising highlight of the day: St Nicholas appeared and handed out chocolate Father Christmases, festive Christmas hats and free tickets for the last home game of the year. The beaming faces of the children and young adults reflected the joy and gratitude that this unexpected moment brought.
This initiative by FC Blau-Weiß Linz clearly shows how sport can help to overcome barriers and create joy and unforgettable experiences for children and adults who don't have it so easy in life. It is a shining example of the power of sport and the social responsibility that a sports club can take on in the community.
We also think this campaign by our partner FC Blau-Weiß Linz is brilliant!
