Lived tradition at the 41st Leonding cider tasting

Leonding town hall recently became the centre of rural traditions: The 41st Leonding cider tasting not only brought excellent ciders to the tables, but also an impressive sign of how lively rural customs are still lived today.

A stage for regional flavours

As every year, the event was organised by the Leonding farmers' association in cooperation with the Leonding-Pasching rural youth association. The award-winning musts - made from regional apples and pears - reflected the high quality and variety of Upper Austrian fruit processing. The offer was complemented by homemade breads, pastries and fresh farmer's doughnuts, the likes of which are rarely found today.

Non-alcoholic alternatives such as apple and mixed juices were also available - proof that regionality and enjoyment are intended for all generations.

The Leonding farming community - guardian of rural culture

The Leondinger Bauernschaft is an association of committed farmers who have dedicated themselves to preserving regional agriculture, maintaining traditions and promoting the rural way of life. In addition to managing their farms, its members also take on a cultural role: they organise festivals, cultivate customs and actively incorporate farming themes into urban life. The Mostkost is an annual highlight - a meeting place where city dwellers and farmers can engage in dialogue.

The Leonding-Pasching rural youth organisation - young, creative, close to home

The Leonding-Pasching rural youth group also got involved with a lot of vigour and passion. The group is made up of dedicated young people who are committed to community, regionality and passing on traditions. At the cider tasting, they served their own creative composition "Most-Hugo" and homemade cider alongside traditional drinks - a modern sign of the sustainability of rural culture.

Regional commitment needs strong partners

Events such as the Mostkost depend on the commitment of many volunteers - but also on the support of regional businesses that make this valuable cultural work possible. SIWA Online GmbH was an important partner this year. As a successful e-commerce service provider with roots in the region, SIWA shows how business and tradition can go hand in hand - for a strong, vibrant community.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
