His latest creation, "BRENNSTOFF Currylicious - Spicy Curry Sauce", was named the best curry sauce in Europe at the prestigious European Hot Sauce Awards 2024.
A hint of apricots
Over 240 producers from all over Europe took part in the competition, but it was Hlatky's sauce that won over the jury with its unique combination of flavours and spiciness. The secret behind its success? Apricots. Together with tomatoes, garlic, a pinch of chilli and, of course, curry, they create an incomparable taste experience. He also favours quality and naturalness: no concentrate, no added sugar and no artificial preservatives.
Regional and phenomenal
The award not only recognises Hlatky's talent, but also the Carinthia region. The chillies for his sauces come exclusively from Carinthia, more precisely from Bleiburg. Over 2,500 plants are grown there exclusively for "TOM'S HOT STUFF" in a total of nine greenhouses to guarantee the unmistakable flavour of his sauces.
Tommy Hlatky has not only established himself as the world champion of chilli sauces, but is also an ambassador for high-quality Austrian products. His sauces are not only a treat for the palate, but also a piece of Carinthian culture that should not be missed.
