Regionality you can taste: meat enjoyment with responsibility

Maximarkt, Wegschaider butchery, regionality, sustainability

Conscious shoppers not only look at flavour, but also at origin. Regional foods are becoming increasingly important - and rightly so: they stand for freshness, short transport routes and a close connection to the region. At the same time, they strengthen small businesses that have been producing with passion and expertise - often for generations.

This is exactly where a traditional company that has stood for quality and genuine craftsmanship for over 125 years comes in: the Wegschaider butcher's shop in Steyregg, Upper Austria.

Craftsmanship with origins - since 1898

The Wegschaider butcher's shop is now run by the fourth generation of the family and lives regionality at all levels. The meat used comes from selected farms in the Mühlviertel region and is processed exclusively in-house - with care, experience and a deep understanding of meat as a foodstuff.

The result is honest, home-made specialities, produced according to traditional recipes and without industrial mass production.

Whether alpine cheese sausage, liver dumplings or Beuscherl - at Wegschaider it's not about a large selection, but about quality with origin. We prefer fewer, but convincing products that focus on flavour and craftsmanship.

Good taste meets strong trade: Wegschaider at Maximarkt

Thanks to the partnership with Maximarkt, regional meat enjoyment is now easier than ever. In shops such as Linz/Wegscheid, Haid, Bruck and Anif, customers can find Wegschaider specialities directly in the chiller cabinet.

Maximarkt is thus consciously setting an example for sustainability and regional promotion - and giving smaller producers space in a strong, reliable distribution system. This benefits everyone: the producers, the environment - and not least the flavour.

We think food that is produced responsibly is #schongenial. After all, they preserve cultures, protect resources and promote traditional craftsmanship.

It's nice to see so many positive things:
